The first glance at this cigar revealed a nice, shiny, oily and greasy wrapper. Had some wood and nut flavor while drawing it cold.

A mild-bodied stick, with lots of smooth and silky smoke. Aroma wise, a lot of wood came through, with some cream and nut flavors. There was nearly no spice in this vitola, although it gained a bit op spice towards the end, but in general a rather linear evolution. A balanced and subtle smoke with absolutely no bitterness. Excellent production quality and draw. Could be an alternative to mild cuban cigars.

First off, this a dominican production by Davidoff so it's part of the lighter vitolas of the brand or of the cigar market in general. I am regularly going for this little treasures, because they are super mild bodied and easy to smoke. The draw and production quality are as so often with this brand, top tier quality. You get a lot of smoke from a rather small stick and this doesn't overheat even if you puff them quite rapidly, which is in my opinion a sign of an excellently rolled stick.

The cold draw is rather subtle but creamy. Once lit up, i had a lot of earth coming through, together with a nice and pleasant coffee and leather taste. This cigar is really smooth and silky but also has some mild bitterness which makes it a round but a bit more complex smoke to me. The cigar gets a bit complexer towards the end and is rather uneventful and linear in its evolution.

I always draw cigars "cold" before lighting them up, meaning I take a few puffs just to get an idea where we are heading, knowing that this first impression can also go in a totally other direction than the "hot" smoke, so for this one I got a some sweet wood, maybe some cedar. This mareva was rather mild bodied to me and had some pleasant notes of wood, but in a creamy and surprisingly sweet way. In addition to that I got some mild spices, some subtle herbal bitterness and a bit of cocoa.

To be honest the draw was okay but yet a bit sub par for the brand, as I had to relight serveral times, which left me puzzled as I know Rocky Patel sticks quite well and nearly never had this happening to me and also as this is a cigar rolled for a long and slow smoking competition, I didn't expect it to cool down so fast. On the other hand, if you give it a go and smoke it a bit faster pace it got quite hot and intense on the pepper.

A lot of wood, strong in flavor but medium in strength

A lot of wood, strong in flavor but medium in strength, comes with the usual herbal bitterness, but remains very silky and sweet. Has some notes of cream and earth and a bit of pepper, yet still very decent, nothing harsh or aggressive but rather really sweet in taste, slightly more spiciness towards the end of the stick. Good production quality, excellent draw, the ash was really loose and clipped of easily.
